Nordex Group Secures 500 MW Orders in Canada
In late September, the Nordex Group announced new orders from Canada, comprising 74 N163 turbines with a total capacity of 500 MW. These orders include a Premium Service agreement for the maintenance of the turbines, covering a period of 15 to 30 years.
The turbines, set for delivery between 2025 and 2026, will be customized as cold climate variants. They will feature the Nordex Advanced Anti-Icing System to ensure high availability during demanding winter conditions. The names of the customers and wind farms remain undisclosed.
Chief Sales Officer Patxi Landa emphasized the strategic importance of these projects for Nordex's Canadian operations, highlighting the benefits of their advanced technology, already implemented in Northern Europe. Nordex has now sold nearly 1.2 GW of turbines across Canada.
