Nordex Group Secures 107 MW Wind Power Project in Germany
On December 17, 2025, the Nordex Group announced a significant new order in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The contract, from Bürgerwind Hollich GmbH & Co. KG, is part of a repowering project and involves the installation of twelve N163/6.X wind turbines and four N149/5.X turbines, totaling 106.8 MW.
The project includes a 25-year premium maintenance contract, ensuring reliable operation. Repowering of the Hollich Sellen citizens' wind farm aims to replace older turbines with advanced technology, improving efficiency and capacity. The first turbine is expected to start generating electricity by spring 2027.
Jörg Tiemann, Managing Director at Bürgerwindpark Hollich Group, highlighted the choice of trusted, established German manufacturers and emphasized Nordex's proven expertise in project implementation.
