Omer-Decugis & Cie wins a major project at the port of Dunkirk
On October 29, 2024, Omer-Decugis & Cie announced that it had won the Call for Expressions of Interest from the Grand Port Maritime de Dunkerque. This project concerns the construction of a logistics and ripening platform in Loon-Plage, scheduled for 2027. This initiative is part of a program to transform the port of Dunkirk aimed at strengthening its role in the agri-food sectors.
The future platform, of approximately 20,000 m², is expected to double the group's existing capacities in terms of ripening and storage. This new site will be added to the infrastructures already in place in France and the Netherlands, contributing to Omer-Decugis & Cie's growth strategy. The investment also underlines the group's commitment to a sustainable logistics model.
The project benefits from the support of local authorities, thus consolidating Dunkirk’s position as a strategic logistics hub for fruits and vegetables. The launch is planned for early 2027, subject to the necessary authorisations.
