Onward Ops Foundation Established to Aid Military to Civilian Transition
The Expiration Term of Service Sponsorship Program (ETS-SP) has launched the Onward Ops Foundation to support military members transitioning to civilian life. This public charity aims to help new veterans and their families by providing essential resources and guidance. Annually, around 200,000 service members face challenges as they transition to civilian environments, dealing with issues like relocation and employment. The Onward Ops Foundation intends to facilitate this process through nationwide support.
John Hoffman, the Director of the Onward Ops Foundation, emphasizes that all funds raised go directly to aiding new veterans. The foundation works with partners like Google and the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide comprehensive support. Their programs offer mentorship and tailored resources, focusing on individual needs to ensure successful civilian integration. Funding from donations allows the foundation to operate efficiently, helping service members for only one dollar a day.
Donations to the Onward Ops Foundation are tax deductible and can be designated to support ongoing transition efforts or emergency assistance for veterans. Individuals and corporations are encouraged to contribute, facilitating better outcomes for America’s veterans and their families as they adapt to post-military life.
