Ørsted A/S Announces Executive Management Restructure and Appoints Rasmus Errboe as Deputy CEO
Ørsted A/S, a key player in the renewable energy sector, has announced significant changes to its executive management structure aimed at enhancing project execution, financial discipline, and operational efficiency. The company is embarking on a DKK 270 billion investment program to more than double its renewable energy capacity to 35-38 GW by 2030. Key to these strategic changes is the appointment of Rasmus Errboe as Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Rasmus Errboe, already a significant figure within Ørsted with roles including interim CFO and CEO of Region Europe, is set to lead the newly established Commercial organization. This move not only marks Errboe’s entry into the registered management of Ørsted A/S but also positions him to play a pivotal role in driving the company’s ambitious business plan forward.
According to Mads Nipper, Group President and CEO of Ørsted, Errboe's proven track record and comprehensive understanding of the business make him a perfect fit for the role. The structure adjustment underlines Ørsted’s commitment to its commercial and geographic focus, with the heads of various regions and departments now reporting to the new Commercial organization led by Errboe.
Errboe expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, emphasizing the importance of delivering on Ørsted’s updated business plan. His appointment is a part of Ørsted’s broader strategy to reinforce its leadership in the renewable energy sector amidst growing global demand for sustainable energy solutions.
