Ørsted Places Its Maiden Order with Nordex Group in Ireland
Hamburg, 12 September 2024. Ørsted has placed its first order with the Nordex Group to supply and install nine N133/4800 turbines for the 43 MW Farranrory wind farm in Ireland. The contract includes a Premium Plus Service agreement, where Nordex will service the turbines for 20 years. This marks the first collaboration between Ørsted, one of the world's largest renewable energy companies, and the Nordex Group.
The Nordex Group will begin the delivery and installation of these turbines on tubular steel towers in the summer of 2025. After completion and commissioning in 2026, the Farranrory wind farm is expected to provide clean electricity to 25,000 Irish households.
