Pampa Metals Announces Significant Copper-Gold Intersections at Piuquenes Project
Pampa Metals Corp. has reported notable assay results for diamond drillhole PIU-03 at the Piuquenes project in San Juan Province, Argentina. The hole, drilled to a depth of 855 meters, intersected substantial copper and gold mineralization.
Key results include 801 meters grading at 0.40% Cu and 0.51 g/t Au from 54 meters downhole to the end, with a high-grade section of 518 meters at 0.53% Cu and 0.73 g/t Au. Additionally, the drillhole revealed multiple zones with varying concentrations of copper and gold.
Drillhole PIU-03 aimed to extend mineralization depth on the northeast and southeast sides of the Piuquenes Central porphyry. The company confirmed the presence of a robust mineralized system, which remains open at depth and on the flanks.
Pampa Metals President and CEO, Joseph van den Elsen, expressed satisfaction with the results, highlighting the potential for a significant porphyry system and the possibility of multiple deposits in the area. Ongoing exploration will further delineate the mineralization extent.
