JUPITER: Europe's First Exascale Supercomputer Inaugurated

ParTec AG has announced the inauguration of JUPITER, Europe's first exascale supercomputer, at Forschungszentrum Jülich. This event, marking a significant milestone for Europe's digital landscape, was attended by Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who highlighted JUPITER as the fastest supercomputer in Europe and the fourth globally. The system, designed by ParTec and Bull/Eviden, offers unparalleled opportunities for AI model training and scientific simulations, emphasizing Germany's bid for technological leadership.

JUPITER features the patented dynamic Modular System Architecture from ParTec, demonstrating cutting-edge flexibility and energy efficiency. Currently, it ranks first in Europe and is noted for its green electricity use. Addressing over 100 research initiatives, including climate-friendly tech and drug development, JUPITER strengthens Europe's competitive edge in high-performance computing.
