Partners Group to Sell Techem for EUR 6.7 Billion
Partners Group will sell its majority stake in Techem to TPG and GIC, valuing the company at EUR 6.7 billion. Co-investors CDPQ and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan will also exit their stakes. The deal follows a period of significant growth for Techem under Partners Group's ownership.
Acquired in 2018, Techem saw revenues exceed EUR 1 billion and EBITDA grow by 50%. The company's rise was driven by a transformational value creation plan that included digitizing processes and expanding internationally.
Founded in 1952, Techem provides energy services that promote energy efficiency in buildings. The company services over 428,000 customers in 18 countries and boasts more than 62 million devices installed worldwide.
The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2025, pending regulatory approvals. Techem is poised for further growth under its new ownership.
