Partnership between Derichebourg and LG Energy Solution for battery recycling
French metal recycling specialist Derichebourg Group and Korean manufacturer LG Energy Solution are partnering to create a joint venture dedicated to recycling electric vehicle batteries. This new entity, located in Bruyère-sur-Oise, will recycle up to 20,000 tons of batteries per year using advanced technologies related to the circular economy.
The project, aligned with the EU regulation promoting recycling to reduce the carbon footprint, will begin in 2026 and be operational in 2027. This partnership aims to promote a closed-loop recycling system, meeting the growing need for recycled raw materials while stimulating the local economy by creating sustainable jobs.
