Partnership between the UNMI Group and Stimulus: a concrete response to the challenges of post-Covid mental health

The Court of Auditors noted a significant increase in the cost of work stoppages for social security, reaching 12 billion euros in 2022. The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated this trend, in particular due to the increase in stoppages for psychological reasons.

Since 2015, the UNMI Group has been working with Stimulus, a leader in psychological health at work, to prevent work stoppages and control absenteeism. Faced with the increase in shutdowns, the UNMI Group is strengthening its actions, extended free of charge to beneficiaries since the pandemic.

With Stimulus, the UNMI Group offers the Stimulus Care service, offering a 24-hour helpline, psychological consultations, self-assessment of psychological health and practical advice. Emmanuelle Taylor-Bon of Stimulus notes increased psychological distress, especially among young people.

In 2023, those under 30 accounted for 20% of callers, with significant rates of depression and anxiety. The main concerns of callers remained stable, mostly personal (63%). The system has shown its effectiveness with 60% of beneficiaries still working.
