Patriot Software Appoints Kyle Dreger as New CEO

Patriot Software, based in Canton, OH, has announced the appointment of Kyle Dreger as its new CEO, effective immediately. This decision marks a significant leadership change, originally led by founder Mike Kappel. Known for his unconventional approach, Kappel acknowledges the need for a new leader to drive future growth.

Kappel stated, "Many CEOs hold on to control too long, limiting their company's potential. I am not that guy. I believe Patriot Software is poised for hockey-stick growth and needs a leader like Kyle Dreger, who has been groomed for this role over the past five years."

Dreger, who joined Patriot Software as a Software Engineering Intern, has rapidly ascended through various technical and product roles. He graduated from the University of Mount Union with degrees in Computer Science and English Writing. By 2021, he was named Chief Product Officer.
