Pearl Certification Announced as Charter Partner in EPA’s Clean Energy Future Initiative

Pearl Certification has been recognized as a charter partner in the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Clean Energy Future initiative. This partnership will focus on the ENERGY STAR Home Upgrade (ESHU) program. The program aims to promote six key home improvements: heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, insulation, air sealing, smart thermostats, and high-efficiency HVAC systems.

Pearl Certification will play a pivotal role in amplifying the reach of the ESHU program. The company provides digital tools, connects homeowners with vetted contractors, and helps them find rebates and tax credits. Notably, homes with Pearl Certification tend to sell for 3.5%-5% more.

Pearl integrates ENERGY STAR standards into its certifications, allowing the company to certify any of the six ESHU upgrades. Their Green Door app also recommends ENERGY STAR-certified equipment. Additionally, Pearl provides tools like IncentivesHub and a rebate finder to help homeowners access financial incentives.

Both CEO Cynthia Adams and President Robin LeBaron emphasize the significance of this partnership in promoting energy efficiency. Pearl Certification also prioritizes educating contractors and homeowners about the benefits of energy efficiency through various channels.
