Photon Energy Connects 7.5 MWp Solar PV Power Plant to Grid in Romania
Photon Energy NV has successfully connected a 7.5 MWp solar PV power plant to the grid in Romania. The new plant is located near Făget in Timiș County and is the largest in Photon Energy's portfolio to date, bringing their number of operating plants to 100.
The Făget 3 power plant is expected to produce around 11.1 GWh annually, which accounts for 7.9% of the Group’s total generation for 2023. The electricity generated will be sold on the energy market without any government support or power purchase agreement.
Photon Energy anticipates recording approximately EUR 2.5 million in other comprehensive income for Q3 2024 due to the commissioning of this plant, positively impacting the Group’s equity. With this addition, the company's Independent Power Producer (IPP) portfolio now stands at 140.3 MWp, with further capacity increases expected by year-end.
