The Games of the Future 2026: Official Details Unveiled for Astana Event
The Games of the Future 2026, a leading phygital sports tournament, is set to take place in Astana, Kazakhstan, from July 29 to August 9, 2026. Phygital International, the event's promoter, announced this 12-day competition as a blend of physical sports and digital gaming. It will feature more than 900 athletes from over 50 countries, all competing for a share of a $4.75 million prize pool.
This unique tournament, staged at various venues in Astana, will present eight disciplines divided into phygital sports and esports categories. In phygital sports, competitions like Phygital Football, Phygital Basketball, and Phygital Fighting will return. Esports will highlight events such as MOBA and Battle Royale.
With Astana's strong sporting culture and digital engagement, the city aims to become a global hub for phygital sports. The host city bidding for upcoming editions has also begun, inviting interested cities to apply before August 1, 2026.
