Pickleball Ontario Championship Series Finals Kicks Off

The Pickleball Ontario Championship Series Finals, powered by canfitpro, will be held this weekend in Toronto, drawing athletes and enthusiasts from across the province. Competitors will vie for the title of Ontario Champion and a spot in the Champions Division at the UPA World Championships in Dallas, Texas.

Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Sport, Natalie Pierre, will attend the event alongside sponsors and board members of Pickleball Ontario. This championship series not only provides a competitive platform but also promotes the growth of pickleball through donations of equipment to schools and free AED/CPR training in host cities.

"We are grateful for the support from all our sponsors and partners," said Junior Bent, Vice President of Pickleball Ontario. "Their commitment ensures the Championship Series remains a premier amateur tournament for years to come."

Daphne Reid, President of Pickleball Ontario, emphasized the importance of the sport within the community, highlighting the support from the provincial government. Minister of Sport Neil Lumsden wished the athletes luck and thanked everyone involved for their dedication to the sport's growth.

The finals will be held from August 8th-10th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, with the UPA World Championships scheduled for November 3rd-10th in Dallas, Texas.
