PIZZORNO Environnement wins a major contract with the Community of Communes Lakes and Gorges du Verdon

The Lacs et Gorges du Verdon community of communes has chosen PIZZORNO Environnement for the overall management of its waste. This contract, lasting ten years for an amount of 37 million euros, covers the prevention, collection, transport, recovery and treatment of waste from the 16 municipalities in the region.

From July 1, PIZZORNO Environnement, under its subsidiary Verdon Environnement, will take charge of this mission. The company plans to significantly improve sorting quality and reduce the volume of waste produced through new waste management strategies, including a 45% increase in selective collection points and the introduction of composting solutions. .

In addition, a renovation of community waste infrastructure, the installation of new safety devices and the establishment of a special fee for professionals are planned to enable more efficient and environmentally friendly management of waste in this area. PACA tourist region.
