PJX Resources' Drilling Identifies Potential Sedex Mineralisation Environment
PJX Resources Inc. has announced potential for a Sedimentary Exhalative (Sedex) deposit at its Dewdney Trail Property through ongoing drilling. Among the three holes drilled, one has intersected a 20m fragmental with significant sulphide mineralisation at 275m. The primary minerals found include iron sulphide (pyrrhotite and pyrite) with traces of copper sulphide (chalcopyrite) and zinc sulphide (sphalerite).
The geology supports a venting environment, similar to the Sullivan Sedex deposit found 20 km west. Additional drilling is planned to target areas both above and below the currently drilled fragmental unit to further explore the potential mineralisation.
John Keating, President of PJX, noted the promising initial results, emphasizing the presence of zinc and copper sulphides and highlighting the need for further exploration to delineate potential copper, zinc, and lead deposits horizontally and vertically.
PJX owns extensive mineral rights in the Sullivan Mining District. Recent discoveries at the Dewdney Trail Property indicate significant potential, backed by moderate to strong magnetic airborne geophysical anomalies.
