Players Health to Host Inaugural Youth Sports Health & Safety Summit
Players Health, an advocate for youth sports safety and accessibility, announces its inaugural Youth Sports Health & Safety Summit, scheduled for August 5-7, 2024, at Allianz Field in St. Paul, Minnesota. This event is part of the newly launched Players Health Summit Series, which aims to educate sports industry stakeholders on important health and safety topics.
The summit will feature keynotes and discussions from prominent figures including Rachael Denhollander, advocate and lawyer, along with Izell Reese, CEO of RCX Sports, and Skip Gilbert, CEO of US Youth Soccer. Dr. Bert Mandelbaum, team physician for the US National Soccer teams, will also contribute, focusing on creating safe sports environments.
Players Health CEO Tyrre Burks emphasizes the summit's role in transforming health and safety in youth sports. The event promises educational workshops, stimulating discussions, and networking opportunities, covering topics from injury prevention to mental health and abuse response in sports.
A charity golf scramble at Crystal Lake Golf Club will precede the main event, providing additional networking opportunities while supporting the Players Health Foundation.
