Pocono Mountains Announce Official Launch of the Pocono Mountains Sports, Entertainment & Film Commission
STROUDSBURG, PA / ACCESSWIRE / July 15, 2024 / The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau has unveiled the Pocono Mountains Sports, Entertainment & Film Commission. This new entity aims to boost economic growth by promoting sports tourism, entertainment, and film production in the Pocono Mountains. The commission was founded by key figures including Chris Barrett, Brian Bossuyt, Ben May, John Oakes, and Ralph Lucchese. Its first major initiative is the Poconos Film Office, led by Ralph Lucchese, to attract film and television productions. The region is gaining attention from high-profile productions, including a Discovery Channel project and a significant automotive commercial shoot.
