POPLAR CREEK RESOURCES INC. Releases Default Status Report

CALGARY, ALBERTA / ACCESSWIRE / May 22, 2024 / Poplar Creek Resources Inc. (the "Corporation") has issued a bi-weekly Default Status Report in line with National Policy 12-203 ("NP 12-203"). On May 8, 2024, the Corporation indicated in a Default Notice that it could not file its annual audited financial statements, management's discussion and analysis, and certificates of its executives by the April 29, 2024 deadline.

In response, as previously announced, the Corporation applied to the Alberta Securities Commission (the "ASC") for a temporary management cease trade order ("MCTO"). This MCTO, issued on May 9, 2024, restricts trading of the Corporation's securities by the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

The Corporation expects to remedy the default by June 30, 2024, by submitting the required filings. Since the Default Notice, there have been no significant changes or failures to meet the Alternative Information Guidelines (“AIG”). No additional defaults are expected, and all material information has been reported.
