Poplar Creek Resources Inc. Seeks Management Cease Trade Order Following Auditor Resignation

Poplar Creek Resources Inc., based in Calgary, AB, has applied for a temporary Management Cease Trade Order (MCTO) with the Alberta Securities Commission. This follows its failure to meet the financial filing deadline for the year ended December 31, 2023. The requested MCTO will restrict trading by the Corporation’s CEO and CFO.

The company missed the April 29, 2024 deadline for submitting its required annual financial documents due to the resignation of its auditor in early April 2024. Efforts to secure a new auditor before the deadline were unsuccessful. Poplar Creek now aims to complete these filings by June 30, 2024.

Additionally, Poplar Creek has indicated it will likely miss the upcoming filing deadline for its interim financial statements for the period ended March 31, 2024. They intend to follow NP 12-203’s alternative information guidelines until all filings are updated. The company is not currently involved in any insolvency proceedings and has no other undisclosed material information.
