Porsche Maintains Stable Performance Through Third Quarter of 2024
Porsche AG reported the delivery of 226,026 vehicles during the first nine months of 2024, showcasing stability amidst new product launches. Sales across various regions remained balanced, with the Cayenne model experiencing significant growth. Although overall deliveries decreased by 7% compared to last year, it was largely attributed to limited product availability.
European markets showed positive growth, with vehicle deliveries rising by 1% outside Germany and 8% within the country. Conversely, China witnessed a 29% decrease due to challenging economic conditions and Porsche’s strategy focusing on value-oriented sales. In North America, delivery numbers also declined by 5%, while overseas and emerging markets saw a 3% increase.
The vehicle portfolio showed varying performance. While the Cayenne achieved notable growth with 77,686 units delivered, Macan deliveries dropped by 20% due to model transition phases. The iconic 911 saw a 2% delivery increase, whereas both Panamera and Taycan faced declines due to model changes and market conditions.
