PPX Mining Corp Announces Promising Drilling Results at Callanquitas East
PPX Mining Corp, based in Toronto, ON, disclosed the completion of two diamond drill holes at Callanquitas East, totaling 376.4 meters drilled, delivering significant mineralization results. The first drill hole, CA-24-07, unveiled oxidized breccia with notable grades of 12.05 g/t Au and 300.9 g/t Ag over 5.25 meters, including an impressive segment with 19.70 g/t Au and 415.3 g/t Ag. This hole also intersected a sulfide mineralization vein over 9.2 meters, presenting 10.34 g/t Au, 1670.8 g/t Ag, and 4% Cu, highlighting a particularly high-grade segment with 33.08 g/t Au, 8174.2 g/t Ag, and 13.1% Cu.
The drilling confirmed the extension of the Callanquitas East structure's mineralization with continuity at depth, showcasing high grades of gold (Au) and silver (Ag) and introducing a new sulfide vein with notable copper (Cu) content. This development underlines the potential expansion of mineral resources in the Callanquitas area. The company emphasizes the vein's high metal content, marking a significant discovery within the Igor concessions.
CEO John Thomas underscored the encouraging outcome from CA-24-07, prompting further exploration to understand the definitive geometry of the mineralization. PPX Mining Corp plans a second phase of drilling at Callanquitas in early 2024, aiming to extend the resource base for both Callanquitas East and West. The results contribute to the broader strategy of exploring and developing the Igor project, enhancing shareholder value through dual growth catalysts.
