Private Assets Merges Holdings into Kiel Power Systems SE
Private Assets SE & Co. KGaA has successfully merged its Kiel-based holdings, Kieler Maschinenwerke GmbH and ProValve GmbH, to form Kiel Power Systems SE (KPS). The newly created entity, already established and registered, aims to enhance operational efficiency and growth in the production of large-engine components.
KPS focuses on manufacturing heavy components for large engines, especially those used in data centers and energy supply. The demand for these components has notably surged, partly due to increased global energy needs driven by AI applications. The components produced are critical in powering data centers primarily in the US.
KPS is experiencing strong order volumes, with a current backlog of EUR 260 million. In 2025, the company achieved EUR 41 million in revenue and expects to surpass EUR 50 million in 2026. Expectations are set for revenue to reach over EUR 90 million in 2027, reflecting a significant growth trajectory.
Strategic financing is being explored to support this expansion, which includes plans to double production capacity at the Kiel site. This initiative marks a significant growth opportunity for the region’s industrial sector.
