Process Sensing Technologies Achieves UL60355-2-40 Certification for Axiom A2L Refrigerant Detector
Process Sensing Technologies (PST) has announced the successful UL60355-2-40 certification for its Axiom A2L refrigerant detector. This certification supports new regulations aimed at reducing the global warming potential of refrigerant leaks in air conditioners and heat pumps.
Designed and produced by Dynament, a PST brand, the Axiom A2L detector uses advanced nondispersive infrared (NDIR) technology. It detects refrigerant leaks in less than 10 seconds and offers various output options for integration with existing systems.
Notable features of the Axiom include a wide input voltage range, an onboard heater to counter condensation, a 15-year lifespan without field calibrations, and compact dimensions for easy installation. The device also boasts failsafe operation and immunity to poisoning.
Kevin McKeigue, VP of the PST Sensor Division, highlighted Dynament's expertise in NDIR technologies and praised the detector’s alignment with environmental initiatives. He emphasized its significant role in meeting industry regulations and requirements.
