Promising Copper Discoveries at Aston Bay's Storm Project
Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. recently reported significant findings from their Storm Copper Project in Nunavut, Canada. Drilling at the Chinook Deposit revealed substantial high-grade copper intersections near the surface. Notable results include 42.7 meters at 3.1% copper and 4.0 g/t silver from the surface in Drill Hole SR24-068. Another noteworthy result from Drill Hole SR24-080 showed 35.1 meters at 2.7% copper and 5.8 g/t silver from 22.9 meters downhole.
At the Cyclone Deposit, Drill Hole SR24-117 intersected two primary zones of copper mineralization, with 16.8 meters at 1% copper from 15.2 meters and 33.5 meters at 1.5% copper from 35.1 meters. The area remains promising for further exploration, with forthcoming assay results for additional drill holes expected within weeks.
The company, in partnership with American West Metals, anticipates releasing a maiden mineral resource estimate for the Storm Project soon. This project shows strong potential for open-pit mining, given the near-surface, high-grade copper mineralization.
