Promising results for Strategic Metals and Benjamin Hill's Alotta exploration project
Strategic Metals Ltd. announced significant discoveries of porphyry-style mineralization on the Alotta project, located in the west-central Yukon. These results come from the first diamond drilling program carried out by its partner, Benjamin Hill Mining Corp. The latter can acquire up to 60% interest in the Alotta project by making exploration expenditures of $11 million before the end of 2027 and paying $500,000 to Strategic.
The mineralization detected mainly concerns gold, copper and molybdenum. Two wells revealed notable intersections, including a section in well ALT-23-01 showing a high gold concentration. The drilling program is scheduled to resume in May 2024 to explore other potential areas indicated by geochemical anomalies in the soils.
Doug Eaton, CEO of Strategic Metals, expresses excitement over these initial discoveries and anticipates fruitful exploration in collaboration with Benjamin Hill. The Alotta project demonstrates not only multiple intrusive phases but also significant mineralization which could lead to additional copper and molybdenum discoveries.
Technical support for this release is provided by Jackson Morton, Senior Geologist at Archer, Cathro & Associates and a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101. Strategic Metals represents a major player in the generation of exploration projects in the region, highlighting the strength of its portfolio and partnerships in the mining sector.
