Promising Results from St-Georges Eco-Mining's 2023 Drilling Program at the Manicouagan Project
St-Georges Eco-Mining Corp. has released the results of its 2023 drilling program at the Manicouagan Critical & Strategic Minerals project, located on the North Shore of Quebec. Five drill holes and one hole extension amounted to 1,421 metres. Holes MN23-1 to MN23-3 revealed zones of disseminated mineralization in nickel, cobalt, and chrome, also showing values in platinum group elements.
The results include intersections of up to 87 meters with grades of 0.28% nickel, 0.11% chrome, and 0.012% cobalt. Another hole intersected 91.3 meters with 0.24% nickel and 0.29% chrome, disclosing a 5-meter section at 0.46% nickel. The presence of magnesium suggests an ultramafic origin of the rock substrate.
Holes 4 and 5, targeting anomalies identified through electromagnetic surveys, yielded less significant results for nickel but highlighted potential for platinum group element mineralization not correlated with base metals. Historical samples will be reanalyzed to assess the presence of the full range of platinum group elements.
Herb Duerr, president of St-Georges Eco-Mining, expresses his excitement regarding the identified mineralization corridors and announces the planning of a future drilling program to further explore these discoveries.
