AI Adoption Unlocks Productivity, LSE-Protiviti Report Reveals
A recent report by the London School of Economics' Inclusion Initiative and Protiviti indicates that employees utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) save an equivalent of one working day each week. This productivity boost amounts to about $18,000 per employee annually. Despite these gains, 68% of employees have not received AI training in the last year.
The study highlights that AI training, not generational factors, is crucial for effective AI use. Employees with training are twice as productive, saving 11 hours weekly compared to five for the untrained. Moreover, diverse, multigenerational AI teams show higher productivity levels.
Dr. Grace Lordan of LSE urges businesses to close the AI training gap to harness improved decision-making, innovation, and performance. Investing in AI training across generations is vital, as emphasized by Protiviti's leadership. This inclusive approach not only boosts productivity but prepares companies for future challenges.
