PUMA Appoints Johan Kuhlo as Managing Director GCC

Herzogenaurach, August 14, 2024 – PUMA has named Johan Kuhlo as the new Managing Director GCC, effective from September 1. Kuhlo, aged 43, will oversee key markets including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman. He will report directly to PUMA CEO Arne Freundt.

Since joining PUMA in 2015, Kuhlo has held roles such as Head of Corporate Strategy and Investor Relations, and most recently, Managing Director EEMEA Distribution. His responsibilities in this role encompassed more than 40 markets across Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Taner Seyis, who previously managed the Middle East including GCC countries, will now lead the newly established Turkey & Levant region, which covers Turkey, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq. Seyis will continue reporting to Freundt.

PUMA CEO Arne Freundt stated that the realignment aims to enhance focus and resources in each market. He praised both Kuhlo and Seyis for their past achievements in driving growth and strengthening PUMA's brand and operations.

Peter Dangl will take over Kuhlo's previous role as Director EEMEA Distribution. Dangl has been with PUMA for 15 years and most recently served as Director Sales EEMEA Distribution.
