Pyrum Innovations AG Breaks Ground on New Plant in Perl-Besch
Pyrum Innovations AG is set to hold the ground-breaking ceremony for its largest plant yet in Perl-Besch on November 14, 2025. The new facility will have a recycling capacity of over 22,000 tonnes of end-of-life tyres annually. This expansion will more than double Pyrum's current recycling capabilities.
Strategically located along the Moselle River, the site benefits from excellent logistical advantages. Preliminary preparations are well underway, with groundwork completed and critical components already ordered. The facility will include state-of-the-art reactors, a shredder plant, and a power plant, with operations expected to commence in 2027.
Financing involves a EUR 25 million credit line from BASF and potential debt capital from a European bank. Pyrum anticipates breaking even once the plant is operational by 2027, boosting its project rollout plans.
