Pyrum Innovations AG Secures RCS Certification for Pyrolysis Oil

Pyrum Innovations AG has announced the receipt of the Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) certification for its pyrolysis oil. This certification marks a significant step towards sustainable textile production. RCS is notable for ensuring that sustainable practices are met in the supply chain. Pyrum's oil is utilized by BASF for producing Ultramid® Ccyled®, a polyamide used in textiles, under a mass balance approach that offers clear traceability.

Pascal Klein, CEO of Pyrum Innovations AG, commented on the certification's role in supporting partners' sustainability goals and highlighted the comparative quality of their oil to fossil raw materials. This advancement aids in promoting a sustainable circular economy.

In addition, Pyrum is progressing in its production capacity with updates on reactors at the main plant in Dillingen/Saar. The second reactor, reaching over 80% capacity, aims for self-sufficient electricity generation through thermolysis gas. Further expansions include preparations for the first run of reactor 3, expected to commence operation by the end of April 2024.
