Q Precious And Battery Metals Begins Drill Access Construction On La Corne South Project, Val d'Or Quebec
Vancouver, BC / ACCESSWIRE / June 20, 2024 / Q Precious and Battery Metals Corp. ("QMET" or the "Company") (CSE:QMET) has commenced construction of drill pads and access routes on the La Corne South project near Val d'Or, Quebec. These sites aim to sample Volcanic Massive Sulphide (VMS) targets identified via geophysical surveys and historic drilling data.
A total of 10 drill pads are planned for June 2024. Initial drilling will take place in an area previously explored by Falconbridge Inc in 2004, which reported significant copper, silver, zinc, and gold mineralization. QMET's 2022 TDEM survey indicates a conductive body east of the Falconbridge site, interpreted as potential massive sulphide mineralization.
Additionally, QMET plans to explore lithium-bearing pegmatite within the La Corne batholith. A second drill hole will target a magnetic low, identified as granitic rock, with prior drilling indicating elevated lithium levels in this area.
The QMET geological team is in Val d'Or finalizing the June 2024 drilling plans. Drilling will start immediately after the first drill pads are constructed.
