Q2 Metals Reports Spodumene as Key Lithium Mineral at Cisco Project
Q2 Metals Corp has completed initial metallurgical tests indicating spodumene as the main lithium-bearing mineral in samples from the Cisco Lithium Project in Quebec. The tests, conducted by SGS Canada, showed no presence of other lithium minerals above a 1% detection threshold. This supports further processing possibilities using traditional lithium pegmatite flowsheets, aiming to produce high-grade spodumene concentrate.
Drill samples revealed spodumene content averaging 17%, ranging from 6% to 39%. Future test work will evaluate separation methods like heavy liquid and dense media separation. The company's exploration continues with promising drill results, signaling district-scale potential.
Corporate updates include new appointments for community relations and corporate communications, enhancing stakeholder engagement and communications strategies.
