Quasar Medical, a leader in complex minimally invasive medical devices, has acquired Ridgeback Technologies. Ridgeback specializes in designing and producing catheter balloons. This acquisition strengthens Quasar Medical's device solutions, enhancing their commitment to quality manufacturing.

With over 36 years in the industry, Quasar Medical delivers end-to-end manufacturing solutions. The Ridgeback acquisition boosts their ability to provide customized balloon catheter solutions, quickening time to market and improving efficiency.

CEO Alex Wallstein remarked that this marks a significant milestone in Quasar's growth plan, filling a critical gap and expanding their reach to Galway, Ireland. Ridgeback, with over 20 years of expertise, is known for rapid turnaround and innovative balloon designs.

Ridgeback CEO Ray Blowick expressed excitement about leveraging Quasar's mass production capabilities to support their growth, noting their recent move to a larger facility.
