Refresco Deutschland Acquires Grüneberg Mineral Water Site from Berentzen-Gruppe AG

Refresco Deutschland, a leading independent beverage bottler for private-label brands in Germany, has reached an agreement with Vivaris GmbH & Co KG, a subsidiary of Berentzen-Gruppe AG, to acquire the Grüneberg mineral water production site in Brandenburg.

This transaction includes the mineral water brands 'Märkisch Kristall' and 'Grüneberg Quelle,' and covers various water products and lemonades produced at the site. Additionally, Refresco will continue the production of Vivaris's Mio Mio brand under a contract bottling agreement. The deal is expected to close by October 31, 2024.

Guido Kühne, Managing Director of Refresco Deutschland, highlighted the strategic importance of this acquisition. Oliver Schwegmann, CEO of Berentzen-Gruppe AG, expressed satisfaction with finding a reputable buyer and securing a new contract bottling partnership.
