Regulus Signs Collaboration Agreement to Evaluate Integrated Copper-Gold Project

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / July 29, 2024 / Regulus Resources Inc. ("Regulus") has announced a collaboration agreement with Compañía Minera Coimolache S.A. ("Coimolache") to assess the viability of the integrated Coimolache Sulphides/AntaKori copper-gold project. An initial mineral resource estimate ("MRE") will be conducted, with an optional preliminary economic assessment ("PEA") based on mutual agreement. The costs will be equally shared between the parties. Results can only be released publicly or shared with third parties if both parties agree.

The AntaKori project is located in Cajamarca, Peru, and currently hosts significant mineral resources. It includes indicated mineral resources of 250 million tonnes grading 0.48% Cu, 0.29 g/t Au, and 7.5 g/t Ag, as well as inferred mineral resources of 267 million tonnes grading 0.41% Cu, 0.26 g/t Au, and 7.8 g/t Ag. Previously, Regulus had limited access to Coimolache's drill database.

Coimolache is a joint venture owned by Compañía de Minas Buenaventura S.A.A, Southern Copper Corporation, and Espro S.A.C. The company's active Tantahuatay gold-silver oxide mine has an underlying copper-gold sulphide project. The latest resource estimate for the Coimolache Sulphides project was presented at Buenaventura's 2023 Investor Day.
