Revolve Accelerates Wind Projects in Mexico
Revolve Renewable Power Corp., a North American renewable energy developer, is advancing its wind projects in Mexico. This acceleration results from new energy regulations providing increased certainty for developers. Two projects, El 24 and Presa Nueva, are in late-stage development with a total capacity of 531 MW.
El 24, located in Tamaulipas, boasts 131 MW, while Presa Nueva in Nuevo Leon offers 400 MW. Recent legislative changes have enhanced growth prospects, enabling Revolve to optimize designs and streamline interconnection processes.
The projects contribute to Revolve's "develop and sell" model, aiming to build projects to ready-to-build status before selling. Enhanced regulations recognize energy storage as vital, prompting Revolve to evaluate storage requirements for these projects.
Revolve's strategy also includes expanding self-generation capacities and distributed generation projects in Mexico. The company is evaluating new storage technologies to optimize project efficiency.
