Rivers Are Life Teams Up with Trout Unlimited for New Expeditions Program

Midland, MI / ACCESSWIRE / June 24, 2024 - Rivers are Life has announced a new partnership with Trout Unlimited. Trout Unlimited is a national nonprofit organization that focuses on conserving coldwater rivers and streams to ensure healthy waterways and fisheries. Rivers are Life will be the official cleanup sponsor for Trout Unlimited Expeditions, aimed at educating teens and college students on local watershed issues.

The inaugural year of Trout Unlimited Expeditions will feature two 10-day trips this summer, inspiring staff and volunteers to advocate for and restore affected lands and waters. The expeditions will take place in Wyoming from June 16-25 and July 11-20, with cleanup days on June 22 and July 18, respectively.

Rivers are Life will provide cleanup kits for each expedition, ensuring attendees are equipped to enhance river ecosystems. These kits, made entirely from recycled materials including fishing gear and ocean plastics, include upcycled cleanup bags, a 32" foldable litter picker, and a litter picking bag hoop.

"This partnership with Trout Unlimited was a natural choice as we both aim to bring people together to care for rivers," said Katie Horning, Director Marketing at Rivers are Life. Cecily Nordstrom, STREAM Education Manager at Trout Unlimited, added, "Together, we are empowering the next generation of river conservationists."

Trout Unlimited Expeditions will feature educational activities such as hands-on experiences, presentations, vocational enrichment, and film screenings. Rivers are Life cleanup kits are available for purchase, supporting river impact projects globally.
