RNAConnect Launches UltraMarathonRT(TM), an Ultra-Processive Next-Generation Reverse Transcriptase
BRANFORD, CT / ACCESSWIRE / May 28, 2024 / RNAConnect, a pioneering life science tools company, has announced the commercial launch of UltraMarathonRT™ (uMRT). This next-generation, ultra-processive reverse transcriptase addresses the limitations of current reverse transcriptases by producing full-length cDNAs from any RNA template, including highly structured, exceptionally long, or very low abundant RNAs. The uMRT kits are available on the company's website.
UltraMarathonRT™ is designed for the evolving suite of RNA research techniques, boasting features such as ultra-processivity, template switching, ambient temperature activity, unwinding power, single-cycle reactivity, and detection of natural RNA base modifications.
The development of UltraMarathonRT aims to generate accurate and complete sequencing libraries for applications like RNA-Seq and long-read sequencing. In tests, UltraMarathonRT detected 25% more genes than SuperScript II in RNA-Seq experiments using human total cellular RNA.
RNAConnect will present more information about UltraMarathonRT at the upcoming RNASociety Meeting in Edinburgh (May 28 - June 1). Attendees can visit their booth and attend poster presentations focused on uMRT’s capabilities.
