Robin John Andes Harries Appointed as CEO of freenet AG
On January 27, 2025, freenet AG announced the appointment of Robin John Andes Harries as its new Chief Executive Officer. The decision was made during a meeting of the Supervisory Board. Harries will join the Executive Board and assume the CEO position on August 1, 2025, for a three-year term.
The current CEO, Christoph Vilanek, had informed the company in July 2024 of his decision not to extend his contract beyond 2025. Vilanek has been a significant part of freenet AG's leadership for many years. This leadership change signifies a new chapter for the company.
