ROHM Unveils LDO Regulators for Compact, High-Power Applications

ROHM Co., Ltd. has introduced the BD9xxN5 Series of LDO regulator ICs, featuring a 500mA output current capacity and employing the Nano Cap (TM) technology. Designed for use in 12V/24V power supply systems, these regulators target automotive, industrial, and communication sectors. The series addresses the growing need for compact, efficient electronic solutions.

The BD9xxN5 Series builds on the 2022 release of the BD9xxN1 Series, which offered a 150mA output, enhancing its application scope with over three times the power output. Additionally, a low output voltage ripple of approximately 250mV is achieved with a small 470nF capacitor, boosting space efficiency and component choice flexibility.

For simulation accuracy, ROHM also provides high-precision SPICE models, inclusive of the ROHM Real Model, accessible on their official website.
