ROHM Unveils Smart Switches for Enhanced Zonal Control
On October 1, 2025, ROHM Co., Ltd. announced the release of six new high-side smart switches in the BV1HBxxxEFJ series. These smart switches, optimized for automotive applications, bolster safety and reliability by protecting against overcurrent, overvoltage, and overtemperature. They offer diagnostic features to detect open load and reverse battery issues.
The new switches improve driving capacity for high-capacitance loads, crucial for zonal controllers managing multiple outputs. Using advanced ROHM technology, they integrate drive capability, low ON resistance, and energy tolerance. This balance enhances system efficiency and safety, complemented by high-precision current-sensing and a versatile HTSOP-J8 package.
