ROUGIER Half-Year 2024 Financial Results Show Profitability Growth Amid Market Challenges
ROUGIER SA has announced its half-year 2024 financial results, showcasing a notable improvement in profitability despite facing difficult market conditions. The company reported revenues of €47.6 million, a decline from €50.1 million in the first half of 2023. However, income from ordinary operations surged to €3.6 million, representing 7.6% of revenues, up from €2.9 million in the same period last year.
Consolidated net income reached €3.1 million, a 38.7% increase from the previous year, highlighting ROUGIER's resilience. The decline in revenues reflects a global economic slowdown and reduced demand. Notably, the company's operations in Gabon experienced a 5.7% revenue drop, while the Congo saw a rise of 2.6% due to strong industrial activity performance.
ROUGIER continues to focus on responsible timber operations, emphasizing sustainability and market leadership in the African timber sector. This strategic direction remains pivotal despite uncertainties in the economic landscape for the latter half of 2024.
