Approximately 21 million Americans are considering RV trips between Thanksgiving and New Year’s. Of these, 9 million will hit the road for Thanksgiving, while 7 million plan to celebrate Christmas on wheels.
Key survey findings indicate that 35% of leisure travelers plan an RV trip within the next year. Popular winter RV activities include visiting family (63%) and road trips (57%). Reasons for RV travel range from snowbirding (57%) to seeking winter experiences (45%). Notably, 25% have shown interest in purchasing an RV soon.
Outdoor winter activities are linked to health benefits, such as improved immunity, better mood, increased physical activity, and enhanced sleep quality. The RV Industry Association spokesperson emphasizes RVing as a way to strengthen family bonds and improve well-being.
