SAF-HOLLAND SE Reports Strong Operating Performance in H1 2024
SAF-HOLLAND SE, a global supplier of trailer and truck components, has reported a robust performance in the first half of 2024 despite challenging market conditions in Europe and the Americas. Group sales amounted to EUR 1,012.5 million, a 2.3% decline from the previous year’s EUR 1,036.1 million, influenced by acquisition effects and a resilient aftermarket business.
The adjusted EBIT margin improved to 10.2%, up from 9.1% the previous year, and the company's net result increased by 35.6% to EUR 50.7 million. Operating free cash flow also saw a significant improvement, rising to EUR 44.3 million, compared to EUR 30.5 million in H1 2023.
The EMEA region continued to be the largest contributor with EUR 477.5 million in sales, while the Americas posted sales of EUR 406.3 million. The APAC region increased its sales by 5.4% to EUR 128.7 million.
In response to this strong performance, SAF-HOLLAND confirmed its raised full-year forecast for the adjusted EBIT margin at around 10%. CEO Alexander Geis highlighted the company's robust business model and strict cost management as key factors driving profitability.
