SAILUN Tyres Equips Volvo Electric Truck, Enhancing Mileage and Sustainability

SAILUN Europe GmbH has announced that it has outfitted the first Volvo FM Electric truck for the Vollers Group using its innovative EcoPoint3 tyres, delivered in an effort to meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly freight transport. The aim is to showcase how alternative components, like tyres, can significantly influence the energy efficiency and overall performance of electric vehicles.

By adopting SAILUN's green tyre technology, the Vollers Group's electric truck will benefit from reduced resource consumption during production, lower rolling noise, and minimized carbon emissions. The tyres are lauded for their contribution to improved fuel efficiency, offering a potential saving of up to 8% in fuel compared to traditional premium brands, as validated by the TÜV SÜD testing organization.

Christian Vollers highlighted the significance of cost, mileage, and fuel consumption in the freight industry, noting the contribution of SAILUN's tyres to achieving longer range and lower operational costs. The tyres are engineered to support the higher torque and load requirements specific to electric trucks, ensuring durability without compromising on safety or performance in various conditions, including wet handling and braking.

The partnership between SAILUN and the Vollers Group exemplifies a collaborative approach towards sustainable commercial transportation. The initiative aligns with broader incentives promoting the adoption of electric vehicles equipped with energy-efficient components, underscored by federal subsidy programs supporting climate-friendly transportation solutions.
