Saint-Gobain Restructures Construction Chemicals in Germany
Saint-Gobain is reorganizing its construction chemicals operations in Germany to boost growth and synergies. The strategy includes transferring Saint-Gobain Weber GmbH's dry mortars to its joint venture, Franken Maxit Mauermörtel GmbH & Co. KG. This move aims to position the joint venture as a national leader in dry mortars. Consequently, Franken Maxit will expand its presence in Germany, operating 17 sites.
The integration of Weber, GCP, and Chryso brands will enhance Saint-Gobain's focus on technical applications and specialty products. This reorganization aligns with the company’s “Grow & Impact” strategy, aimed at strengthening its global leadership and enhancing its product range. This effort is particularly relevant in light of Germany’s upcoming economic stimulus plan. The transaction is expected to close by the end of September 2025.
