SBTi Validates Eiffage’s Emission Reduction Targets for 2030 and 2050
The Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) has validated Eiffage’s short-term (2030) and long-term (2050) greenhouse gas emission reduction targets. These targets cover scopes 1, 2, and 3 and align with the goals of the Paris Agreement and the 1.5°C trajectory.
Eiffage aims for a 46% reduction in emissions for scopes 1 and 2, and a 30% reduction for scope 3 by 2030, using 2019 as the reference year. Additionally, the group targets a 90% reduction across all scopes by 2050, with a commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by that year.
Since 2019, Eiffage has focused on reducing its internal carbon footprint by minimizing energy consumption on construction sites and in offices. The company also plans to invest in decarbonized equipment and vehicles, and collaborate with partners to offer low-carbon solutions.
